Exchange student in the USA 15/16

Homecoming dance

What's up?
Today I'm doing nothing. Feels so good. The air conditioning is still broken and it's 88 degrees (27 Celsius). Maybe I should work on my tan and study. Or just tan. 😊 Today I've been in the US for a month and on the 15th one month in Angleton! Time flies by.

Yesterday was the 14th anniversary of 9-11 and in my history class we watched a short clip of the World Trade Center terror attack. It totally killed my vibe, and not only because of the 9-11 thing, because there are so many people in the world doing fucked up things. It was also the anniversary for when Chile became a dictatorship in 1973 (until 1990). Sad world.

But I got my happy spirit back before the pep rally. Friday and homecoming and the theme was "Pink and purple out." I had a purple wig and my mum. A lot of girls had mums and some of the guys to. But they wear it on their arm. If you think my mum was big you're wrong. I saw some that was four times as big as mine.

The weather was pretty bad yesterday so they moved the dance inside and there was no foam. I went there with Grace and Selinn, a exchange student from Norway. School dances isn't my thing at all. If there is a place  I feel uncomfortable at, it's school dances. I really like festivals, or kick offs in Sweden but in Sweden we had the kick offs in a club (but they don't have the bar open). Here it was a lot of younger people too. But at least I can say I've been at a American school dance. 😅

Since it was meant to be a foam party no one really dressed up. Most people had shorts and t-shirts.

Picture with the campus police. It looks like he wears purple clothes but they're black. I wished they had that much school spirit tho. #PURPLE-PRIDE
