Pearland

Saturday, kinda lazy day.
I slept until 11 because we were up late last night and chilled in the hot tub.
On the afternoon I, Grace, Simone and May went to Pearland for shopping. Don't worry dad I didn't squander the money on unnecessary things. 😉 I saw some really really nice Champion sneakers for only 19 $ but I resisted the temptation to buy them.
For dinner we went to Red lobster and I was so hungry I ate to much bread and salad I couldn't even eat half of my food. But I took it with me home, it's very common in USA to ask for a doggy bag if you're not finished with your food. It stupid that not more people in Sweden ask for doggy bag instead of throwing it away.
Simone and I baked bread before we went to Pearland today. Here's the recipe: http://www.swedishfreak.com/swedish-recipes/rye-bread/
Tried to make it Swedish style.
Yesterday (Friday) We went out to eat at Texas Road house. It's a restaurant in Lake Jackson (about 30 minutes from Angleton) with typical American BBQ. Corn, sweet potatoes, steaks etc. Really good, similar to Texas Longhorn in Sweden but with the real feeling. They asked if I wanted marshmallows and caramel on the sweet potato but I turned that down tho. Maybe next time. Just like the most of the bread I tried here, the bread they served has a much sweeter taste than European bread. The European bread has more salt and it's more common to serve it with butter or garlic butter. Yesterday they had cinnamon butter. It tasted like cinnamon rolls!
